Happy Birthday Blair,

I do enjoy reading Mary’s accounts of the day, and as they say one must have the counter point to all experiences to appreciate those small simple things like a peaceful night’s sleep. Winter is preparing to exit yet another year here so Linda and I are beginning to plan our summer times on the water. It’s shaping up to be a busy time doing other things this year so not sure just how much time we’ll have in the islands. Maybe sometime, although I kind of doubt it, we’ll have the resolve to step off the track so to speak.

Anyway, enjoy your day Blair, raise a glass or two at happy hour and think of your freezing friends at Trident.

Hi Blair and Mary: Glad to hear that you made it safe and sound and are resting in a nice harbour. It’s amazing what a little sleep will do to turn things around.

Oh Mary – Truly a yucky passage along the north coast – but glad you are in Varadero now. Good people around there – say hi to Debbie and to Rick and Donna (Lorbas) if they’re there now. Good food and market in Santa Marta – beautiful beaches in Varadero, and an easy run to Havana! Get some sleep, eat some good food, play some music, enjoy!

It is great fun following your travels and especially Cuba. We went there for a week several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the country and the people – and the climate in mid-May!
We are winding down here and head out in one week. The weather is improving and approaching the 70′s which is good for us and great for the spring breakers.
